Tales of the Cocktail (TOTC) is one of the most highly respected international awards that aim to honour professionals, organisations and establishments that have enhanced the global spirit industry. The award categories spotlight a range of talent from bartenders, journalists, and brand ambassadors, to brands and media, to ensure each aspect of the industry is well represented and recognised for its contributions.
Recently it revealed its top 10 nominees in the Best New Spirit or Cocktail Ingredient category. Hendrick’s Gin’s Midsummer Solstice was one of new spirits that attracted the attention of TOTC’s judges.
William Grant & Sons-owned Hendrick’s Gin expanded its portfolio with the launch of Midsummer Solstice, a limited-edition poetic expression of gin infused with floral essences and flavours which can only be described as an exceptionally fine floral gin. This limited-edition expression is inspired by the mysterious and ephemeral delights of floral blooms during summer solstice and is infused with floral essences and flavours that capture the “aromatic intensity of a midsummer days”
South African Hendrick’s Gin Brand Manager Shaun Stemmett says: “We are delighted with Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstices’ shortlisting at TOTC, which echoes the rapid popularity that this gin has garnered in South Africa’s top cocktail bars & amongst discerning gin enthusiasts.”
“The top four of the Spirited Awards’ shortlist will be released on 1 June 2020, and we are very excited to see the final results,” says Stemmett.
