Whisky lover or not, there are certainly times when you have to ditch the ordinary for something a little more spontaneous – and this Father’s Day happens to be one of those times. Monkey Shoulder, voted the number 1 trending whisky in the world by the world’s 100 best cocktail bars, have never been one to take ourselves too seriously. In the spirit of celebrating our father’s, we invite you to ginger up your dad this Father’s Day – and we have the perfect recipe.

Derived from Thomas Haliburton’s Attaché, or Sam Slick in England, 1843: “Curb him [a horse], talk Yankee to him, and get his ginger up.” To ginger up means to enthuse or make lively. We believe there is no better way to do this, than with a with a Monkey Shoulder Ginger Monkey cocktail. Most men have a natural instinct, centered around being inventors, creators and fixers of things. Creating a great cocktail together could certainly spark your and your father’s spontaneous instincts. The Ginger Monkey blend is something so simple that you’ll have to use your imagination to find something else to do, while you share this delicious drink with your ol’man.

Showcasing our two most prominent flavour notes – soft ginger spice and orange peel – the Ginger Monkey blend is fuelled with fresh citrus flavour and fragramt Scotch notes. While the ginger quietly hangs out in the background, it’s sure to get your dad lively and jolly this Father’s Day.
