Ireland and Spain have a deeply intertwined history dating back to the defeat of Spain’s “Invincible Armada” in July of 1588. While things may have seemed gloomy for the Spanish sailors as the bobbed around in the North Atlantic Ocean, luckily they drifted to the beautiful shores of Ireland where our glorious weather, legendary hospitality, beautiful women, and of course, our whiskeys, persuaded them to stay (also, they had no transport).
From then onwards, we Irish have had a fine understanding of Spanish passion for life – proving even back then that foreign immigrants will be met with a smile and a drink in the Emerald Isle. The O’Sherry cocktail pays tribute to this long-standing bilateral whiskey-appreciating relation, pairing Spanish sherry and vermouth with the spice and vanilla sherry cask notes of Tullamore D.E.W. Original Irish whiskey – a whiskey that #3Xbetter, especially after spending the afternoon holding onto to the remnants of your ship as you furiously kick towards the closest shoreline.
First introduced in 1829, Tullamore D.E.W. blended whiskey is triple distilled and known for its triple character, triple smoothness, and triple flavour – proving its #3xbetter. Tullamore D.E.W invites you to shake up a fiery O’Sherry cocktail and revel upon the chilly month of July.
